Farmers of Pathsala, Barpeta road and howly area are generally hard working and relatively educate. These areas also has a good milk market.  In Barpeta road fluid milk is sold in the evening by individual farmers in the daily market. Adoption of the AI programme is relatively high among the farmers of Balabhitha of Barpeta Road, Halapakri area, Howly, Pathsala and Nityananda area. This also attributed to continuous untiring effort of the departmental AI worker for last 8 to 10 years in those areas. The farmers adopted clustered approach resulting  formation of definite milk pockets and Dairy Co-operative societies in these areas. Now Pathsala  and Nityananda area has become one of the prime milk collection area of different milk co operatives including WAMUL (Purabi milk).
