Farmers of these  were earlier satisfied  with their household one or two nondescript cows giving very low milk production. Commercial Dairy has found its way among the cattle rearing farmers of this area after increased knowledge of cross breeding and adoption of AI. Gradual increase in AI born cross breed calves resulting in increase in production of milk has prompted the   farmers to shift  from unorganized way of cattle rearing to organized , formal way of market led sustainable Dairy management. People has started formation of Small milk producers society in Biswanath Chariali area.

There are eight Milk Parlors /Milk Outlets established in this area.
