A venture initiated by Dr. J. Barman , VO Nazira State Veterinary Dispensary is a successful example of the adoption of the A.I. programme. Sundarpukhuri Milk Co-operative Society formed by the farmers of the greater Nazira area under technical guidance of Dr.J.Barman, Veterinary Officer, Nazira State Vety Dispensary.It has become a Centre of livelihood for more than 245  BPL families contributing to rural economy with annual turnover above 1 crore.Door step delivery of milk to more than 1,000 esteemed customers at Nazira, Simaluguri and Sivasagar town by the vendors of the society is initiated which is governed by a 9 members Executive Committee with representatives from all milk collection points. The society has started a milk pasteurization plant of their own with a brand name 'KARENG'.Nirmolia village near Sundarpukhuri  is producing around 400 lts. milk daily to day which did not have any Dairy farm earliar.Brihattar Nirmolia Prathamik Mahila Dugdha Utpadak Samabai Samiti is the second women milk cooperative society formed at Nirmolia Village under Nazira State Veterinary Dispensary.
